About Us

PPS was originally founded by a member of the Kirby family, a retired postmaster, to hand-sort mail for the Post Office located on 8th Street in Amarillo. In 1996, the Kirbys acquired one of the first mechanical readers/sorters in the Texas Panhandle, which allowed for mechanical sorting of mail. In 2000, the Austin family purchased PPS and moved the business to its current location on 9th Street. Since then, we have added a second PPS location in Lubbock and a sister company, Variverge, with locations in Dallas and Amarillo. With the introduction of more modern mailing equipment, we have also expanded our team to include in-house graphic designers and a print room, transforming us into a full-service direct mail company.

In January 2021, PPS acquired Zip Print, a long-standing full-service commercial printing company, which further enhanced our printing capabilities. Currently, we are operating at 920 SW 9th Avenue, Amarillo.

By providing excellent customer service and fast turnaround times, we have become a trusted business partner for hundreds of companies across the Texas Panhandle and the Texas Plains.   • Luke Austin

    Owner/General Manager

    Luke received his BBA in Finance from Baylor University and his Masters in Accounting from the University of Virginia. Luke is married to his wife Meredith and has four children, Faith, Adelynn, Katherine, and Blake. Luke enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, dirt bike trail riding, snow skiing and backpacking.

  • James Austin

    Owner/General Counsel

    James received his BBA in Finance and Masters in Business Administration from Baylor University as well as his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining PPS, James was a partner at Sprouse Shrader Smith, PLLC, where he focused on oil and gas law, commercial real estate, probate and other general business transactional work. James is married to his wife Lauren and together they have two children, Parker and Sydney. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, working outside, traveling and spending time with his family.

    Controller/HR Manager - PPS Amarillo

    Melody has been a member of the PPS team since 2003. She received her BBA in Accounting from Baylor University and is a licensed CPA. She is married to her husband, Ted, and they have two grown sons. In her free time, Melody enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with friends and family.

    General Manager - PPS Lubbock

    Duane has been a valuable part of the PPS team since 2005. Duane is married to his wife Wendy and has three daughters, Lindsey, Anna and Elizabeth. Duane has a BBA in Management from West Texas A&M University. In his free time, Duane enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and working on his family ranch.

    Operations Manager - PPS Amarillo

    Chris has over 36 years printing experience. He has six children, Steve, Brittany, Ciara, Christopher, Madison and Maci and five beautiful grandchildren that are the joys of his life. He enjoys grilling, riding his Harley, and spending time with friends and family.

    Sales Service Representative - PPS Amarillo

    Norma is the Print/Mail Project Coordinator at PPS in Amarillo. She has 30 years Customer Service and Sales in the printing industry and has brought a wealth of print experience to PPS. While visiting relatives in Amarillo 11 years ago, Norma fell in love with the blue sky and the friendliness of the people here and moved here that next month. She enjoys hanging out with Alaina, her granddaughter who she teaches her cooking and gardening and her favorite hobbies.

    Sales Representative - PPS Lubbock

    Rebekah has over ten years sales experience with B2B sales and building relationships.  Her family moved from East Texas mid 2025 and fell in love with Lubbock.  She is married to husband Kyle, four children (Emma, Anna, Ryder, and Rhett) and a granddaughter, Iolie (I-lee).  Her free time is spent riding dirt bikes, BBQ with the family, traveling and watching football.

    Travis has over 15 years of experience in printing and graphic design. Finding creative solutions to the unique challenges presented in print production continues to drive his dedication to the industry.

    When free time does come around, Travis enjoys keeping up with new movie releases and exploring modern gaming trends with his son. Travis and his wife, Mimi, work hard to keep their son and their dog, the happiest boys.

  • Brian Bussey

    Graphic Designer

    Brian has accumulated over 30 years experience in graphic design and print production. He has worked for various companies in Amarillo, including advertising agencies, copy and print shops and a newspaper firm. He has a strong visual sensibility, earning a MA degree in Art/Studio Art from West Texas A&M University in 2012.

    When he isn't practicing graphic design, Brian enjoys fine art, watching movies and enjoys hiking and the outdoors.
